Alright, let's get this thing off the ground.
I'd like to apologize for a small break in activity, there's been some unfortunate family complications, and it put me out of action for a little while. It's all good now, so I'm not gonna rest 'till this club's going full steam ahead.

Please send in your submissions, it's what this club needs to stay alive, and I know you all have some great photos you're able to submit.

In roughly two weeks time I'm flying out for a month long world trip revolving around cars with my father. We're starting with the famous Pebble beach weekend, which means I'll be in California for about a week, then flying through to Europe where I'll have a 3 week long stay, moving in a clockwise motion through Holland, Germany, Italy, Monaco and France. Inbetween I'll also be visiting England for the Goodwood Revival weekend, and of course I'm going with my camera and an itchy shutter button finger. I'll be sure to return with as many shots as I can take in a month's time.
This is all well and good, but it'll also mean that I won't be able to do much for the club in said period of time, and I'm still looking for someone to help me run it, even if it's for the month I'm away. As I said before, just send me a note and we can work something out.

In the meantime, as I said, please send in your submissions so this club can gain some more recognition.

My initial thought of DA was that it would be fairly easy to find a car related club (non tuning) which had a fun environment, friendly members and easy submitting and sharing rules.
Unfortunately, this seemed to be harder to find than it seemed, and I decided to start this one because surely there are people like myself that are in search of a club of this sort.

So here it is, The Car Club!


First off we'll start of with the guidelines.

Memberships
If you wish to become a member of ~TheCarClub
Please write a note with "Join" as the subject title;
Add ~TheCarClub to your watch list;
Add a link/thumb to ~TheCarClub in your sig or journal. (This is not compulsory, but appreciated.)

Submissions
Please send a note with "Submission" in the subject title and a link to the deviation/s you wish to submit;
Obviously, the submissions must be of cars. I will also accept motorcycles to a degree, but please understand that the emphasis is on cars;
You may send up to 2 deviations at one time for submission into the club, allowed every week;
I will only accept deviations that are finished works, no snapshots, rushed works and unfinished pieces please;
The submissions will be selected based on the overall quality of the image and the car/s involved;
Submissions are only accepted if you are a member of ~TheCarClub.

I will accept all sorts of deviations, but the club is focused on photography and un-tuned cars. Please don't submit photoshops where a photograph has been "tuned", I will not accept those forms of deviations.
PLEASE submit work that is yours, not someone elses. If I find out that a piece has been stolen, I will remove it and the submittor from the club, and bring it to the attention of the admins.

Most of all, I hope that this can be a "refuge" of sorts for like-minded petrol heads who wish to share their artworks.

Currently I have no contests/features planned as of yet, but hopefully they will come in the near future.

I will also be looking for an extra admin, a mature and responsible petrol head is preferred, who can help me maintain the club. (Send note with "Extra Admin" in the subject title if you're interested.)
